"Spotlight Corner"

“Lambeaul Lanes”

This month found me in the town of Redgranite . This little town can be quite busy with Hwy 21 traffic that runs right through it.  Today, I'm right in the middle of this little town at a Bowling Alley/Bar named Lambeaul Lanes. It is owned by Jeff and Kristin Donahue. They, with the part-time help of their daughters Heather and Ashley, are kept quite busy.

The Donahue's bought Lambeaul Lanes back in August of 2004, after moving up from Milwaukee .  Jeff worked at a GM dealership, but always had a love for bowling. When they saw this little 4 lane alley, it was "Goodbye Milwaukee".

After they took over, they got busy making this place their own.  They put new floors and a new bar in. An automated scoring system was one of the first things to come into the alleys.  They also did a little remodeling on the front entrance. They had almost all this done even before they co-hosted the 2005's Safe-Ride/Scholarship Bowling Tournament.

Besides bowling, they also belong to local pool and dart leagues. Hamburgers, pizza's, nachos, and other snacks are available to their patrons when they get the hunger pangs.

Some of the bowling leagues they have are: Men's, Women's, Mixed, Junior and Cosmic Bowling.  "It's a good idea to call for available days & times if you want to come for "Open" bowling", says Jeff.  Dollar bowling on Sun. from 11am-5pm.

Upcoming events:  9 Pin Tournament coming in January.  Their hours are:  Mon, Wed, Thurs. 2 to close, Fri- Noon to close, Sat & Sun.- 11am to close, and closed on Tues.

So if you're coming through town and have a few minutes, stop by and say "Hi"! Lambeaul Lanes phone number is 920/566-2347.
