FYI:
A new survey was taken with 400 people.
It was concerning the smoking ban and making a compromise to get
it passed. Scott Stenger is
working very hard for us on getting some kind of reasonable wording in
so it will help us, not hurt. Keep
the optimism high. We need
to keep going on this, not give up!! *************** Warning
about the group “Beanshack”.
They have been having a very bad habit of booking, then
canceling. The problem ..
they don’t call first. If
you have booked them… BEWARE!!
“PINE-RIDGE FARMS”
Well,
this month, I had a fun visit to Pine-Ridge Farms. It
is just outside of Wautoma off Hwy 73.
It hosts so many things, but today we’re just going to talk about
their two, very different bars.
Pine-Ridge was built in 2001, and opened up in 2002 with their
first bar downstairs; “Pintail Pub”.
It had fairly limited hours, but now being the “Bears Den”;
it has expanded to host many small parties, karaoke contests, open mic
night, and much more. They serve sandwiches and pizza and are usually open
Thursdays to Sundays. In 2005, the
upstairs; “Buck Rub Bar”, featured a full service bar with a
very complete bar menu, with lots of daily and weekly specials. It is open
from noon to close Tuesdays to Sundays. They are looking forward to
joining the areas many leagues in the upcoming months, with
men & women’s pool, darts and volleyball.
Polka and Big Band nights are on the agenda soon. Snowmobiles can
come right to their door and enjoy all this hospitality too, as they are
right on the trail. You’ll have some nice warm specials also!
Keep an ear open for all their special events coming up, or go to
their website at: www.pineridgeofwautoma.com
for all the latest. Thanks
Dan McComb, the general manager, for showing me this beautiful scene right
outside both their bars. Pictures
of the bars?? Well, you’ll
just have to come on over and see for yourself, won’t you?? For
further information, call them at 920/787-5519.
